About From the Heartland This is a new edition to the Centrediscs’ Prairie Sounds imprint. Erika Raum and David Moroz provide the listener with a program of works for violin and piano by three distinguished Canadian composers. The works are all lyrical and tonally accessible in nature, with moments of drama, soulfulness and wistfulness. They will appeal to all lovers of classical music.

About Pinnacles Pinnacles is a new edition to the Centrediscs’ Prairie Sounds imprint. This full‐length CD release of music by Canadian composer Diana McIntosh features an array of her chamber music written over the last decade. The works take their inspiration variously from her adventures as a mountain climber in the Canadian Rockies, her tour of Kenya in East Africa which included a visit to Mount Kilimanjaro, and the writings of Gertrude Stein.

Centrediscs, the recording label of the Canadian Music Centre, with 5 JUNO awards won, the most recent in 2011, plus 6 WCMA awards and 1 ECMA award was created in 1981 as Canada’s foremost label of Canadian contemporary concert music, recording the works of CMC Associate Composers.
