DR. LARRY NICKEL TO ADJUDICATE COMPOSITION FESTIVAL

The 12th Annual Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival runs from April 18 to May 25 in Langley, BC. Classes and workshops are offered for solo vocalists and instrumentalists, composers, chamber groups, choirs, jazz bands and combos, orchestras and concert bands.

The Original Composition sessions will take place on Saturday, May 7 from 12 – 4pm at Kwantlen Polytechnic University’s Music Department (Langley Campus).

Dr. Larry Nickel, an Associate Composer of the Canadian Music Centre, will adjudicate the sessions which are open to composers of all ages and levels.

In just eleven years, the Kiwanis Fraser Valley International Music Festival has become one of the largest regional events of its kind, hosting more than 6,400 participants in 2010.
